One of my heroes, Marina Abramovic will be performing and re-performing her art at the MOMA in her show opening this week…In “The Artist is Present” she will be sitting in the main atrium of the museum, performing the longest ever museum performance piece in which she will sit motionless at a table each day for the duration of the show opposite a chair that a visitor is invited to fill.  The New Yorker ran a great article on her, explaining some of the performance art boot-camp training her performers for this show went through.
